Recently our Home Manager at Studley, Angie Ryan, met up with Eric Holder who set up the Studley dementia garden a few years ago – a project to help local residents who live with dementia, and Barbara Craig from VASA (non-profit organisation in Warwickshire who provide services to overcome isolation and loneliness – providing carer respite, memory groups, lunch clubs and events), who supports the project. The allotment has raised flower beds, a summer house and toilet facilities. We cant wait to visit with our residents from Studley Rose Care Home and have already shared a lot of ideas about what we can plant – herbs, salad, vegetables and fragrant flowers to stimulate our senses. We look forward to inviting Eric and Barbara to our open days soon!
