This year, on May 12th, our homes across the Midlands came together in meaningful and creative ways to say a resounding “thank you” to the remarkable individuals who are the backbone of our care communities.

Celebrating International Nurses Day Across Our Homes
To mark the occasion, our Macc Care homes each hosted a variety of thoughtful and uplifting activities to show our appreciation.
From homemade lunches and afternoon teas to wellness hampers and thank-you packs, each celebration was rooted in the same message: our nurses matter, and their dedication is never taken for granted.
Some of our homes, like Studley Rose and Austin Rose, chose to bring teams together with delicious appreciation lunches, complete with homemade buffets, mocktails, and sweet treats. It was a chance to step away from the busy day-to-day and enjoy a shared moment of recognition and community.
Other homes focused on personal gestures, such as beautifully prepared hampers and wellness goody bags filled with care and appreciation – gifts designed to bring a little comfort and joy to those who give so much of themselves to others.
Reaching Out to the Wider Community
Several of our Macc Care homes went one step further, reaching out to the wider healthcare community.
Teams at Wulfrun Rose, Meadow Rose, Blythe Rose, and others prepared and delivered thank-you bags and hampers to nearby hospitals and GP practices.
These gestures were a powerful way to extend our gratitude to fellow healthcare professionals and show solidarity with the broader network of care.
There were also heartfelt touches that stood out, such as handwritten thank-you cards at Blossomfield Rose.
Each activity was unique, but all reflected the same spirit: celebrating International Nurses Day with sincerity, generosity, and respect.
