Gregory Zhuwao, Austin Rose Care Home Manager

Hello, my name is Gregory Zhuwao. I am an enthusiastic registered nurse, with more than 20 years’ experience working in different care settings, including 17 years extensive managerial experience within the healthcare sector.

From undertaking my nurse training in Belgium and the Republic of Ireland, right through to my current role as Manager of Austin Rose, nursing has always been a way of life for me and my family. Three other family members are working as nurses in the NHS.

I am dedicated to the needs of the people we support, my staff and overseeing the effectiveness running of the home; I strive to uphold Company values, my own care values and aim to deliver highest standard of holistic, person-centred care at all times.

Continually driving improvement involves putting myself in our residents’ shoes and challenging myself whether I too would be happy to be looked after in the same way that the people who reside at Austin Rose are supported.

Within the home I always aim to promote a calm, friendly atmosphere where everyone is respected and held in high esteem.

On a personal level, I enjoy mentoring and coaching, together with a range of hobbies including keeping fit and healthy, travelling, walking, and learning about different cultures. I also look forward to watching football and keeping up with the latest cookery programmes.
