Have you heard about our Age UK fundraising success?
At Macc Care, we’re huge champions of community spirit. We regularly invite our neighbours to our homes for events, welcome school children for intergenerational activities, and fundraise for important charities.
This month, Blossomfield Rose took the spotlight for its Age UK fundraising event; keep reading to find out more:
Our Age UK Fundraising Success at Blossomfield Rose
At Macc Care, creating a positive impact goes far beyond providing excellent care – it’s about nurturing meaningful relationships, building strong community ties, and supporting causes that align with our values.
One shining example of this commitment was our recent community quiz night at Blossomfield Rose in Solihull, which raised an impressive £504 for Age UK Solihull.
All for a Good Cause: Our Community Quiz Night
The quiz night, held at our Blossomfield Rose care home, was a heartwarming evening full of laughter, friendly competition, and local camaraderie.
Five local teams joined us for the event, creating an atmosphere of warmth and enthusiasm as they competed for the top prize.
With delicious food and drinks flowing and a vibrant raffle full of generously donated prizes, the evening was as enjoyable as it was meaningful. But what truly stood out was the sense of community – volunteers from all walks of life offered their time and energy to help run the night, and their kindness didn’t go unnoticed.
It was a true reflection of what Age UK fundraising represents: people coming together to make a difference for those who need it most.
Age UK Fundraising: Why It Matters
Blossomfield Rose has worked closely with Age UK Solihull for some time now, and we’ve seen first-hand the incredible impact the charity has on older people in our area.
From offering practical assistance and advice to supporting wellbeing and independence, Age UK Solihull plays a vital role in the lives of many of our residents.
That’s why Age UK fundraising is so important to us – it enables the charity to continue delivering essential services to the people who need them.
Our quiz night was just one small way we could say thank you and ensure their work can carry on.
A Double Donation Thanks to UB Healthcare
While we were incredibly proud to raise £504 on the night, our joy was doubled when one of the teams attending – UB Healthcare – generously offered to match our total.
Their thoughtful gesture brought the final fundraising amount to over £1,000, a remarkable sum that will go a long way in supporting Age UK Solihull’s ongoing work.
Bhav Amlani said: “We are delighted with the support and turnout for our Age UK Solihull quiz night. It was wonderful to see the community come together for such an important cause.
“We are truly grateful to everyone who helped make the night a success, from the generous prize donors to our fantastic volunteers.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Age UK and supporting the older community in Solihull.”
Strengthening Community Through Events
Events like these are more than just enjoyable evenings – they’re a core part of how we connect with those around us. Our care homes are not closed-off spaces, but welcoming places where relationships can thrive.
At Macc Care, we believe in a holistic approach to wellbeing, one that includes connection, creativity and compassion.
Age UK fundraising allows us to weave these elements together in a way that supports not only our residents but the wider community too.
The quiz night is just one of many events hosted by Blossomfield Rose and the wider Macc Care Group throughout the year.
Each initiative is designed to foster joy, spark friendships and encourage community involvement – all while supporting incredible causes such as Age UK.
Looking Ahead: Continuing Our Commitment to Age UK Fundraising
This isn’t the end of our fundraising efforts; in fact, it’s only the beginning. We’re excited to continue working with Age UK Solihull, creating more opportunities to support older people and championing the values we share.
As we look ahead, we’ll be planning further fundraising events, volunteering opportunities and community engagement activities, all with the goal of making a real and lasting difference.
We know that Age UK fundraising is about more than just raising money – it’s about raising awareness, lifting spirits, and ensuring that older people feel seen, supported and valued.
