Meet the Manager
Katie Gilligan,
Wyrley Rose Manager
Hello, I’m Katie Gilligan, Home Manager for Wyrley Rose Care Home.
I began my career in the Royal Navy, leaving in 2002 to pursue a career in Mental Health Nursing. Since registering as a Mental Health Nurse, I have spent considerable time developing, improving and managing services for older people within nursing, residential and dementia care homes. I am passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents and their families, believing in the importance of taking a holistic approach to mental wellbeing.
Being local to the area and with understanding of the needs of the surrounding communities, I am excited to be opening Wyrley Rose Care Home and look forward to integrating the home into the community and creating a partnership where all can flourish.
As a married mother of one, I recently became a grandmother for the first time. In my spare time I enjoy walking, cooking and tending to vegetables in my garden – I’m fondly nicknamed Felicity Kendal, thanks to my floppy hat and love of my dibbler! My well-behaved French Bulldog, Maddie is sure to become a regular visitor within the home – she loves a cuddle and some attention, so please do say hello when visiting.

Meet the team

Amanda Hall
Clinical Deputy
Manager
My name is Amanda, but I prefer Mandy.
I started my journey as a care assistant, qualified as a nurse in 2005 and completed my training in Adult Nursing at the University of Wolverhampton.
Since qualifying I have worked within a Stroke rehabilitation and Parkinson’s disease unit, sexual health and HIV clinics, prison nursing and the nursing home sector, working in elderly care, dementia and more complex challenging behaviour units.
My career path has taken me from care assistant to nurse, progressing to clinical lead nurse and now I am proud to be the deputy manager at Wyrley Rose care home.
As a child growing up, I always wanted to be a nurse and I hope to continue in my vocation for many more years to come.
Outside of work I enjoy a busy family life – I have been married for 27 years I have two grown up children and one granddaughter.

Rebecca Pye
Administrator
Hi, I’m Bec, Home Administrator at Wyrley Rose.
It is a privilege to be part of the amazing team here. I have worked in care since 2013, starting out in domiciliary care which I thoroughly enjoyed. Over the years in my care journey, I have gained knowledge in a wide range of areas including learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, dementia, nursing and end-of-life.
In 2017 I became a branch administrator for a care company and progressed internally for eight years with roles including liaison officer and accounts administrator. During this time, I continued to support with the care aspect side of things as I have a real passion for delivering high standards of care and developing relationships with people, getting to know them and everyone involved in their care, working as a team to ensure they have a positive experience.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends. I also love being outdoors and playing netball on a Sunday.

Soni Atwal
Customer Relationship
Manager
Hello, I’m Soni, the Customer Relationship Manager at Wyrley Rose.
I’m honoured to work with our team to help make Wyrley Rose a vibrant, compassionate home that enriches the lives of all the residents that we welcome.
I have been working in the care industry for over 10 years with a variety of experiences, spanning from a university degree studying marketing and communications.
In my role, I am dedicated to building strong, lasting connections with residents, relatives and our local community.
At Wyrley Rose, we are committed to supporting not only our residents and their families, but our incredible local community.

Debbie Joyce
Head of
Housekeeping
I have been working in care for approximately 15 years, starting out as a kitchen assistant, and moving into different areas within care homes.
I really enjoy working with the elderly and listening to their stories; learning about their lives, jobs, and families. Once I get to know residents, they are like my extended family.
In my personal life, I have been married for nearly 25 years and have two children. My husband is retired, my son is an electrician and my daughter is a nurse and mum to two beautiful daughters – I am extremely proud of them all and love spending time with them.
I also have a rescue dog called Theo, who I have had to work hard with since rescuing him three years ago. He loves going on his holidays to the beach.
If I get any spare time I like to go swimming, watch powerboat racing, take trips to theatre to watch musicals mainly, and watching films and box sets.
You will see me around Wyrley Rose doing a variety of jobs – I am a lady of many talents!
My door is always open for any queries you may have.
