Meet the Manager
Steven Kazembe,
Meadow Rose Home Manager
“I absolutely love it. Working in this field, you make a lot of friends and being able to put a smile on people’s faces and make a difference is very special for me personally and for all in the team.”
Hello, I am Steven Kazembe. I am currently the registered Manager for Meadow Rose Care Home.
I trained in Malawi where I graduated as a Registered General Nurse, then completed a Master’s Degree in Health Services Management at Warwick University in the UK.
I have been working in health and social care for 18 years, 17 of which have been in management. Joining Meadow Rose in 2016, I have a good understanding of the service and feel privileged to lead such a fantastic team.
Before I came into health and social care, I worked in acute settings in my native country Malawi. This experience equipped me with the skills to manage my team and provide clinical knowledge.
Passionate about working with people, I love to make a difference in the lives of those that I meet – working closely with our residents and their loved ones. I like to empower people to exercise choice and control, no matter what their circumstances may be. I also believe in team work and value everyone who contributes, because team work is key to achieving our goals. I am empathetic and believe in compassionate leadership while motivating my team to achieve their full potential for the benefit of the people in our care. Residents are at the centre of what we do and they are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
In my spare time, I enjoy singing in a gospel choir and gardening. I find it so refreshing when I engage with nature in my allotment.

Meet the team
Mya Sharma
Customer Relationship Manager
Meadow Rose
Hello, I’m Mya and I’m proud to be part of the Austin Rose team, providing ongoing support to families and friends with loved ones in our care and helping to build our community.
I have Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care and also Business Administration. My experience includes working my way up to becoming an Office Manager in a Nursing Home in my home town, Leamington Spa. At Austin Rose, my passion is to ensure our loved ones get a loving and healthy home as they reach their elderly days and are no longer able to look after themselves in the way they used to. I am a strong believer in ‘giving back to those who once gave to us.
