At Macc Care, we believe that moving into a care home should feel like the beginning of a new chapter – one filled with warmth, comfort, friendship and the right support, all within familiar surroundings.

That is exactly what Heathview Rose, our brand new care home in Shirley, has been created to offer.

Now officially open, the state-of-the-art home brings high-quality dementia, residential, respite and nursing care to the local community, providing a welcoming and luxurious environment for up to 72 residents.

A new home for the Shirley Community

Located on High Street in Shirley, Heathview Rose has been thoughtfully designed to support residents to live happy, fulfilled and meaningful lives, with as much or as little support as they need.

The home offers spacious, modern en-suite accommodation, alongside beautifully designed living spaces where residents can relax, socialise and enjoy everyday life. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a true ‘home from home’ environment – combining comfort, safety and personalised care with opportunities for connection and independence.

As the latest addition to the Macc Care portfolio, Heathview Rose reflects our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care in warm, welcoming surroundings.

Welcoming our first resident

Heathview Rose has already welcomed its very first resident, 93-year-old local resident Pauline Weston.

Having lived just five minutes away for her entire life, Pauline’s move means she can begin her next chapter while remaining close to the community, friends and family she knows so well.

To mark her arrival, the team created a special ribbon-cutting moment – a touching way to celebrate Pauline becoming part of the Heathview Rose family.

Reflecting on her first impressions of the home, Pauline said: “It is such an amazing feeling in the home – I cannot believe my eyes. The garden is lovely, the food is great, and the staff are so welcoming. Everyone has been so kind to me.”

For Pauline, staying connected to the local area was an important part of her decision, and she has already been enjoying visits from friends as she settles into her new surroundings.

A warm welcome for visitors

As part of its arrival in Shirley, Heathview Rose welcomed residents, families and members of the wider community into the home, offering the chance to explore its facilities, meet the team and experience its warm, welcoming atmosphere first-hand.

Visitors enjoyed entertainment and refreshments, as well as a special ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the town’s mayor, marking an important moment for both the home and the local community.

Bhav Amlani, Director at Macc Care, said: “Heathview Rose is a fantastic addition to the Shirley community, and we’re delighted to have already welcomed our first resident. Pauline’s arrival has been a special moment for the whole team, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more residents and their families in the coming weeks.

“Our open day was a great opportunity for people to come and see what life in a modern care home can look like – warm, welcoming and full of opportunity.”

Creating a True Sense of Home

At Macc Care, we are proud to provide individualised care within ‘home from home’ environments, helping every resident to live with dignity, comfort and purpose.

Heathview Rose has been created with this same philosophy at its heart. From personalised support and thoughtfully designed spaces, to meaningful activities and strong community connections, the home is focused on helping residents feel valued, supported and truly at home.

As Heathview Rose has opened its doors, we look forward to welcoming more residents, families and visitors from Shirley and the surrounding area.
