Luxurious, lively, supportive & integrated
welcome to the modern face of care

St Michael’s Rd, Sutton Coldfield, B73 5FU

Introducing Sutton Rose

Sutton Rose is a luxury, state-of-the-art, care home for up to 84 residents, set in attractive Boldmere in Sutton Coldfield.

The modern home takes pride in offering residents a different standard of living and forms part of a wider scheme that encompasses MACC Retirement assisted living apartments, Boldmere Place. Together we are well-integrated with local community life; our onsite bistro and attractive courtyard area, both open to the public, provide great meeting spaces – perfect for residents’ families and friends when visiting, community use and as great venues for activities and events.

Complimenting the delivery of personalised and compassionate care, the team provides residents with a varied activity hub, within which they can get involved and enjoy life to the full. Laughter resounds around the Sutton Rose – residents are very active and involved, determining the kind of interests and activities they wish to participate in.

Award Winning

MACC Care is proud to be recognised as a ‘Top 20 Care Home Group’ in the carehome.co.uk Care Home Group Awards 2024. This accolade is based on reviews from residents or service users and their family or friends, and is testament to the dedication of our teams and commitment to quality care within our care homes.

“At a time when it was very difficult, but so important to maintain relationships with the outside world, Sutton Rose really came into its own – our magnificent team and amazing facilities enabled people to maintain connections and stay safe.”

Eve Recio-Dominguez, Sutton Rose Manager

Pinders Healthcare Design Awards Winner: ‘Best Independent Living’

Sutton Rose is delighted to have won the ‘Best Independent Living’ award in the 2023 Pinders Healthcare Design Awards for its combined community facilities with neighbouring retirement assisted living apartments, Boldmere Place and the social integration that the scheme supports.

Home highlights

What makes Sutton Rose unique?

  • A future-proof living concept – people can live independently in Boldmere Place apartments, accessing domiciliary care as and when it’s needed, safe in the knowledge that the transition to residential, nursing and memory care at adjacent Sutton Rose will be seamless and stress-free
  • Uniqueness of the build facilitates life-long living
  • Couples with differing health and care needs can be superbly accommodated and supported, without the separation that would typically be necessary
  • Sutton Rose features ‘Rose House’, a small, self-contained ‘house within a house’, decorated in a 1970s retro style, where people living with dementia can comfortably spend time with their relatives
  • Residents and their families enjoy contributing to ‘Rose and Shine’ our popular newsletter
  • The home embraces new initiatives – we are currently involved in a project trialling an innovative lifting cushion and aim to become a centre that shares learning and best practices

What sets us apart

MACC Care’s aim in developing Sutton Rose was to provide a wonderful environment for elderly people with the added enrichment that comes from staying connected with and being part of the wider community life.

Superb amenities include lounge, gym, cinema, wellness suite, and a faithroom for religious worship and meditation, not least lovely communal spaces inside and out.

All bedrooms are individually decorated to a luxury standard. They come complete with ensuite wet room facilities, ensuring privacy and dignity for residents at all times. Each room also contains a high specification call system, premium quality furniture and furnishings as well as a television. Residents are encouraged to bring their own treasured possessions so that they feel totally at home.

Services available include a laundry service, access to a weekly in-house hairdresser, massages and manicures. We also can arrange sessions for aromatherapy, chiropody, chiropractor, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dental hygiene and eye testing. The care team are on hand 24/7 to provide any other kind of assistance.
