At Macc Care, we know that the best care is the result of relationships built on trust, communication, and shared commitment.
That spirit was recently on full display at the Victoria Ward at Warwick Hospital, when our Studley Rose team delivered a surprise breakfast hamper to the NHS team members who have supported several of our residents throughout the past months.
Whether it’s coming in for early starts or working long shifts, we felt it was important to recognise the compassion, commitment, and calm professionalism shown by these teams, who always ensure residents experience safe transitions and continuity of care.
A Small Gesture of Thanks – Across Every Shift
The hamper was filled with pastries, porridge pots and breakfast bars, chosen carefully so colleagues across different shifts could enjoy a welcome treat, rather than just whoever happened to be on duty at the time of delivery.
It was a small gesture with a big message: that we see you, we appreciate you, and we value what you achieve for our residents.
Built on Strong Relationships and Ongoing Communication
The visit was made possible by Carla Sidaway (our Studley Rose Customer Relationship Manager) and Molly Nharaunda (the Clinical Sister on Victoria Ward), who over time built a really positive relationship and would share updates on residents who had been discharged into the home’s care.
Carla said: “We wanted to thank Molly and the team for the care they’ve given and for the warm welcome they always extend to us. Strong partnerships between hospitals and care homes are so important for residents’ wellbeing.”
Molly and the Victoria Ward team were delighted by the gesture, and had no doubts the breakfast would be well received by the wider team.
Why Partnership Matters for Residents’ Wellbeing
Hospital discharge and moving into a care setting is an experience that leaves many vulnerable. When care teams work collaboratively and share information, it creates smoother transitions and greater reassurance for both residents and families.
Bhav Amlani, Director of Macc Care, said: “Maintaining connections with other local healthcare providers is essential in ensuring seamless continuity of care with familiar faces for our residents. We’re grateful for this valued partnership with Victoria Ward, and we hope to be able to surprise them again soon.”
Staying Connected
Far from this being a one-off surprise, our Studley Rose team has shared its wishes to arrange similar gestures in the future as part of an ongoing relationship rooted in mutual respect and shared purpose.
Because, ultimately, collaboration shouldn’t feel like a process, but part of the culture that’s built on support and shared purpose.
